How do I play?
Tap Drift on the home screen. Press and hold anywhere and the paper sail catches the wind, drifting you toward the far bank; let go and the canal current carries you back. Collect petals and tiny lanterns, drift through lantern gates and under bridges. A trip takes about one to two minutes and ends at a harbor.
What makes the boat soggy?
Drain grates, whirling eddies and curious frogs. Bridges and lantern gates dry it again. If the boat gets fully soggy the trip ends gently and you keep everything you found — once per trip you can optionally watch a short ad to Dry the sail and keep drifting.
What are the canals and modes?
Four canals to open: Rainy Town, Cherry Canal, Lantern Market and Moonlit Harbor. Morning Tide is a new route every day with a streak bonus, and Endless Canal (open after your first 3 trips) lets you see how far you can drift.
What are the paper notes?
On your trips you find floating paper notes. Together they tell a 17-part heartwarming story, which you can reread any time in Notes.
What are petals for?
Petals fold new paper boats (9 in all, including swans, crane-boats and lotuses), bring passengers along (a frog, a mouse, a snail or a ladybug) and unlock trails of petals, bubbles, starlight or fireflies. They only buy cosmetics.
Can I play offline?
Yes. The game is fully playable offline; ads and purchases simply become unavailable without a connection.
I closed the app mid-trip.
Your trip is saved all the time. Reopen the game and it continues exactly where you left it.
Can I play with one hand?
Yes. Open Settings → Hand and choose Left or Right: the key buttons move into your thumb’s reach, so Paper Boat Drift is comfy to play one-handed — on the bus, or with a cup of tea in the other hand.
Why do I see ads?
Ads keep Paper Boat Drift free. You will never see ads during your first 10 minutes of play. After that an ad may appear only after the results card of a finished trip — never during a trip, at most once a minute and not more often than every 2 finished trips. Rewarded ads (Dry the sail, Double petals) are always optional.
How do I remove ads or restore a purchase?
Open Shop → Petals. Remove Ads (or the Starter Pack) turns off interstitial ads (optional rewarded ads stay available). Restore purchases is in Shop → Petals and in Settings.
My progress disappeared.
Progress is saved only on your device, so it is lost if the App is deleted or progress is reset. It is not synced between devices. Purchases can always be restored.
My phone gets warm or the game feels slow.
Open Settings and turn on Battery saver.
